Following their queen and captain into exile, the crew of the Echidna build an experimental engine, to keep surviving and striving, and to one day establish a new colony. Genre: Science Fiction Some episode release high jinks π€Here's my little announcement in the episode's show notes: THIS IS EPISODE #400. I have put out 400 podcast episodes by my lil old self. Mwahaha! Tell me this means I cannot be stopped! This seemed to amuse someone on Spotify enough to leave a comment on the episode. Getting to your 400th podcast episode is not a widely relatable milestone, so it's nice to be recognized. π Why this story? β¨οΈI chose this story for this occasion, because it's one of my favorites. A science fiction story about a captain trying to do right by her crew. A queen trying to do right by her colony. And characters who aren't hominids. One of the story's themes is thresholds. And what lies beyond those thresholds. Why do I podcast?I love making my podcast. π₯° It's fun hamming it up as a character, choosing the right musical track to match the mood, and hearing it all come together in the final mix.
